Grubbs customers can come join us for some fun in the sun July 31, 2010, where we will be putting on the ultimate driving experience. Push your car to new limits in a safe, controlled setting on a race track!

This FREE event is a way of allowing you to drive you car like it is meant to be driven. We will have both a morning and afternoon session. Space is limited so register today.

If you have always wanted to test drive, I mean REALLY test drive the latest Infiniti models, this is your chance. We will have the latest models out at Motorsport Ranch and our expreience consultants will be able to answer any questions you might have. So come out and crank up the radio, squeal the tires and put the Infiniti to the test. Or maybe you just purchased your Infiniti and you want to push the car to the limit in a safe controlled environment without fear of a ticket. This is the time!

This track day Driving Experience was a little different from our usual since we had both open wheel and sports cars for the event.  I really enjoyed seeing the different driving styles everyone got to experience.  An open wheel car is a completely different driving style than a sports car.

Everyone did a great job and I congratulate them for sticking it out for a full day.  I hope in the future we are able to do this again.  I know we are up to it.  Check out the pictures from the event under the Event Photos link at the top of the home page.

All three circuits, the 1.7, the 1.3, and the3.1 mile courses can be run clockwise or counterclockwise. The clubhouse has meeting rooms, bathrooms, showers, offices, and observation deck. The Skid Pad is a 200 feet by 200 feet and is a patch of asphalt to be used to warm up tires, run through a couple of gears, check the understeer.

The Auto Storage is currently composed of eight buildings totaling 200 garages for those who wish to keep cars or tools at the track. Each garage is 12.5 feet wide by 25 feet deep, has electrical power, air and lights. 

The Covered Grid Pad is able to hold 20 cars while staging for the next track session. Designed as much for safety as for comfort, drivers are able to sit in comfort and shade while waiting for their turn on the asphalt.

Numerous shops/businesses are located on the property that specialize in supporting these motoring activities.

Tours are given on Friday, Saturdays and Sunday. Anyone interested in visiting the facility should stop by between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to witness first hand a new concept in recreational driving.

What is grand american?

Grand-Am is the most competitive professional road racing championship in North America. It was created from the masterminds behind NASCAR.

Bill France, Jr. and Jim France inherited control of NASCAR in 1992 upon their father’s death. The France brothers pushed NASCAR beyond its small-time Southern roots into a nationwide billion-dollar conglomerate. The France brothers then felt that they could bring this successful formula to sports car road racing.

In 1999, they founded the Grand-Am Road Racing series. Grand-Am operates several racing divisions headlined by the premier Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. The 15-event schedule, which is anchored by the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona, includes two divisions – the Daytona Prototypes and GT class.

They designed the rules to promote cost-effective race cars in which technology is carefully controlled to ensure close racing and approximate parity between different chassis and engines. The France NASCAR formula worked. There has been a dramatic growth of TV viewership and attendance. In the past three years, the media value has increased 209%, making Grand-Am the fastest growing racing series in North America. 

The series is centered around the 24 Hours of Daytona, but also includes a wide variety of American, Canadian, and Mexican tracks. The Grand-Am series also supports NASCAR on several race weekends. Many high profile drivers from NASCAR and Indy car compete in Grand-Am races. Drivers such as: Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Juan Pablo Montoya, Tony Stewart, Bobby Labonte, Helio Castroneves, Sam Hornish, Jr. Famous actors including Patrick Dempsey, Paul Newman, and Tim Allen have also competed in the Grand-Am series.
