Verizon

G3 said that Bill is meeting with the top marketing person at Verizon next Tuesday.  He wants something in writing to leave behind.  So I got to work on it.  I sent it to G3 and he made some changes.   Darrin is going to make it look cool.

Team HLM and Troy

G3 talked to Troy of Spirit of Daytona.  Troy has Team HLM’s race cars in his shop.  He also ran the car at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January.  He said that the cars are in good condition.  He is going to get us a list of everything and let us know what is good and bad.  We should have a list on Monday or Tuesday.  I can’t wait.

Team HLM

Frank Howard is a tough person to work with.  We have been asking him to get us a list of the equipment he is selling.  He ended up sending us a weird email to waste our time.  It was a joke.  The thing we are finding out is he doesn’t know anything about his own team.  In the afternoon, he sent another email with Troy’s name and number.  I guess he knows all about the cars.  I told G3 that we don’t know anything about these cars.  They could be under water right now.  If we do purchase these cars we need to be very careful and treat it like the wild west.  When we pay we need to pick up the cars that day.   I just don’t trust Frank.

G3 Driving Experience

The weather was perfect for the middle of August in Texas.  We had a great showing and one guest works for a company that we are trying to work with.  I thought that was interesting.

David sent us a detail list of what Crawford put on those cars.  We are thinking about purchasing one car and moving down the road.

Grubbs Infiniti G37 Launch

George put together an event to launch the new G37 at the dealership.  My parents and Terah’s parents made it to the event as well as Jessi.  I think everyone was impressed and excited for me.  I spent a good amount of time talking to Bill from Verizon.  He just purchased a G37 and he is really excited about making improvements to his car.  After the event, we all went out to eat.  All in all it was a great time and I’m so pleased to have everything all come together.

Chris called and told us that Team HLM is selling everything.  That changes everything.  I think the guys at Crawford knew that and wanted to get us to sign the contract before we found out.

Then five minutes after G3 got off the phone with Chris Frank Howard, owner of Team HLM, called.  He said that he told David at Crawford that he wanted some help selling his cars three weeks ago.  We didn’t like that news.  This could be a good deal for us.  Two cars for the price of one.

Crawford Quote

David sent a complete quote for the race car and Motec.  I spent a few hours looking over every detail.  I found one thing on the data and one on the race car that I had a question on.  I asked and got the answers I needed.  All in all I think we have the information we need to move forward.

Motec

I setup a conference call with David and Katie to talk about Motec.  There are so many different data points this computer can do that it is a matter of what you want to record.  I wanted to discuss this matter with Katie because she knows this system inside and out.  We went step by step though the entire options for Motec.  We didn’t go crazy but we added some good stuff.  I think we have a good system setup now.

Brake Pads Ordered!!

G3 sent in our purchase order for our front and rear brake pads.  I’m very excited.  It has been a long time to get to this point.  George was pretty excited as well.  It will be awesome to see the G3 Motorsports logo on the backing plate.
