G3 Motorsports FAQ’s

How do I get to participate in the G3 Driving Experience?
This service is currently being offered through Grubbs Infiniti as a thank you gift for the purchase of a new Infiniti.  In addition, if you purchase $750.00 or more in parts from G3 Motorsports or Grubbs Performance Parts you will also be eligible for this gift.
Find the class you are interested in and fill out the registration form with the date you want to participate. A representative of G3 Motorsports will confirm your registration and then you are ready to go!

Is there an age requirement for these events?
Participants must be at least 21 and possess a current, valid driver’s license.

Do I drive my own car?
Yes, we’ve designed the curriculum around street cars used by individuals without previous track experience.

How many people are usually in a class?
A normal class size is 12-15 people. For large group events and custom courses, we may deviate from this size. Often, we’ll break the group into equal numbers of participants, depending on the overall size of the group.

How much time is spent in the classroom vs. track time?
All of our courses are structured for maximum driving time. Roughly 80% of your time is spent behind the wheel.  The school is scheduled to include a 10–15 minute instruction before each exercise; then there’s plenty of time in the seat for actual practice.  Because the instructor communicates with school participants via two-way radios in the cars, there is more seat time in the vehicle and immediate feedback during exercises.

What do I need to bring?
Bring a valid Drivers License, Proof of Insurance and your car. You will also be required to sign a waiver on arrival.

What should I wear?
The dress code for the driving school is casual and comfortable. Shorts are allowed and recommended. We also recommend you wear soft-soled shoes, such as driving or tennis shoes.

Do you provide helmets and racing suits?
We do provide helmets and driving suits.  If you have your own helmet, Snell approved SA90 or later, and would be more comfortable wearing it, please feel free to bring it.

Can my friends and family come along?
Of course.  The guests can join us for all classroom and training sessions, as well as meals. They’re welcome to watch at various locations, take pictures and video, or can even sit in our bleachers overlooking the racetrack. Guests will not be permitted to ride with participants; however they may ride with the instructor during certain segments.

Do you have a photographer available?
Yes, all of our events are staffed with a professional photographer.  The photos taken are available for purchase on our site within two business days.

What do you do if it rains?
All G3 Motorsports Driving Events take place rain or shine.  Actually, rain provides a very beneficial way to learn and will help improve your driving skills in any condition.  No refunds or credits are given due to wet weather.

Is there a gas station near by?
Yes, there is a gas station located at the entrance of Motorsport Ranch.  They carry all grades of fuel, including racing fuel.  Remember to fill your car on the way in.

Is air available at the track?
Yes, G3 Motorsports provides tanks with air for track side support.

Is there track side support available for tire changing, mechanical support, etc?
Yes, G3 Motorsports has support personnel available for most minor track side support.

How should I prepare my car?
Remove all loose items from inside the car – radar detectors, garage door openers, driver’s side floor mat, street directories, trash from the back seat.  Loose items can move inside the car with the G-forces experienced on the race track and become a hazard. Leave anything you don’t need for the day at home, and remove the rest at the track before you drive. Ensure that your engine oil has been changed recently and is to the full mark on the dipstick. Your brake fluid should be less than a year old, brake pads should be no more than half worn, and your tires should be in good condition

Will my insurance cover me if I have an accident?
Statistically, you are less likely to have an accident while driving your street car on a road racing circuit than you are while driving to work.  Our events do not include racing or timed competition.  This is a driving experience executed in a safe, controlled environment.  Most insurance companies will cover your vehicle while being used at this type of event.  Check with your carrier if you have concerns.

What is your cancellation policy?
There are no refunds on changes or cancellations less than 7 days prior to the event.
